The movie, “Bowling for Columbine,” is a decent movie all-in-all. I do not agree with some of Michael Moore’s points. He is too extremist in some of the things he says. Many points that he presents are not actual facts, but hearsay evidence. He obviously wants guns to be completely outlawed, which I don’t agree with. So far the movie is pretty depressing, and I would have liked to watch something a little more positive. Much of what this movie is about is very informational. I have gained a lot of knowledge from Michael Moore. I may not like him, but he does get his points across.
UGH….snow
•November 13, 2008 • 1 CommentThe weather is changing for the worse. Get ready for the snow, people! I, personally want winter to never come because it sucks. The ice-covered, snow-plowed streets aren’t the easiest things to drive on and I have found myself in a ditch more than once, even when going twenty-five miles per hour in a fifty-five zone. The rains have started, meaning that snow is not far behind. I want to move out of this place and go somewhere warmer, anywhere! Snow is cool…for the first few months. After that it just gets very dull and depressing when you look out your window and each day there is at least another foot on the ground. Don’t live in the Upper Peninsula your whole life!

The Change We Need
•November 5, 2008 • 1 CommentOur new president-to-be has been selected. His name is Obama. I, for one, am ecstatic for this new change. The Republicans have been ruling the white-house for too long and it is time for a change. I do believe that Obama will bring this change. I want this war to be over and I think the man to do that is Barack. I think he will be able to repair this country and give us a much needed boost of popularity around the world. The fact that we have elected someone who is not a rich, white guy shows the world that we are not so self-centered as they may think. Barack is the kind of guy who can do, who can make major events happen. Postive events that will affect us all. I’m glad Bush is going out of office and that is it being taken over by a man who can stand above the rest.

•October 30, 2008 • Leave a CommentI am a very terrible debator. It seems like every time I get into a debate I get the short end of the stick. I can’t ever seem to pull up the right information at the right time and the opportunity disappears when I should have made a solid point. It always seems like the other person has the advantage over me. Their knowledge goes so much farther than mine does. Which is why I don’t even bother debating anymore.

Prop 1
•October 23, 2008 • 1 CommentThe opinion for this week is Michigan’s Proposition 1. This bill will make medical marijuana legal. This is something that we really need, for marijuana has many uses other than just recreational use. The government could make a mint taxing the stuff. Much more than they make from cigarettes. Medical marijuana will have many uses. When cancer patients go through Chemotherapy, they generally become sick and don’t feel like eating. With their diminished appetite, they usually lose weight. If we give these patients medical marijuana, guess what? They will be hungry! Marijuana helps with many other illnesses as well. I just don’t feel like going into a helluva lot of detail. Do the research and make up your mind on the subject. http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/
So this year, go out and vote ‘yes’ on Prop 1!
My Ideal Mate
•October 23, 2008 • 1 CommentWhen I find my ideal mate, I would like that person to be special to me. The first thing would most definitely be that they cannot be normal. I need someone as eccentric as I am, otherwise they will not be able to stand me, and I will not be able to stand their normal-ness. The ideal person would be someone interested in generally some of the same things as I. We need some similarities. This person would have to see eye to eye with me, which is something that is very hard to find, since my eyes are somewhere off in another world most of the time. Generally speaking, someone who is strange, funny, and interesting to be around. I don’t think it’s a whole lot to ask.
Bodycase
•October 9, 2008 • Leave a CommentIn the city of White Plains a man was found dead in a park in a suitcase. When the autopsy was performed it was found that he had an estimated $100,000 worth of heroin in his body and had most likely died from one of these packs breaking open inside of him. He had been a drug “mule.” Police believe the man to be from the Dominican Republic.
Story courtesy of CNN.com
Ok, so they find this dead guy in a suitcase with a bunch of heroin inside him. The police believe the reason he wasn’t cut open for the drugs might be because other drug ‘mules’ didn’t want the dealers to do it, so before the dealers got there to get the drugs his friends stuffed his body in a suitcase and left it in a park. Well, I don’t know the whole story and neither does the news. I guess there’s a reason for everything. But I do have to say one thing, this is f*&^ed up!
My Room
•October 9, 2008 • Leave a CommentMy room is small. It is very quaint. It does not smell like much, I guess. When I smoked it smelled like cigarettes. I keep it as clean as I can, which isn’t very clean sometimes. It has three windows, a large, double hung and two smaller ones. The walls are cheap paneling, which is going to be changed soon. That won’t matter because by that point I will have moved out. It has my bed, which is laid underneath the two windows, an endtable next to my bed, my computer chair, which is a huge leather comfy-ass chair. Then there is my computer desk, which holds my ancient desktop. There is a small dresser next to my computer desk and next to my bed is my bookshelf. This contains all my 200+ DVDs and books. The closet is small and is pretty much packed with all my stuff I don’t use at the moment like books, posters and such. It also has all my clothes. All in all my room is tiny, and I can barely move around, especially if there are clothes strewn all about.
